Due to unforeseen circumstances, the shadow puppet workshop planned for January 26 has been rescheduled for Monday, February 26.
Marysville is excited to welcome Birdbone Theatre for a shadow puppet workshop!
Following a brief performance featuring excerpts from Birdbone's production of Broom Dance, students will learn more about shadow puppetry and the incorporation of music. Working with the puppeteers, students will learn to create their own shadow images. The group will then put it all together in a shadow scene with music.

PINK SHIRT DAY
February 28
How did it all start?
In 2007, Berwick Nova Scotia, after a new student at their school was bullied for wearing a pink shirt, two grade 12 students bought 50 pink shirts and encouraged their classmates to wear pink. The next day they went to distribute the shirts and to their surprise the majority of students arrived wearing pink! With that act of kindness, Pink Shirt Day was born.
Many countries now recognize specific days for raising awareness about the prevention of bullying and promoting kindness and inclusion. In Canada, many students have heard the Pink Shirt Day message from kindergarten through to their high school graduation. The movement continues to grow.
Wear PINK today to show your support and help raise awareness about the prevention of bullying and promoting kindness and inclusion.
